InspectionWare Release Build: Version 12.510.0 (64 bit) | New Features: (1) Added Linear Plane Wave Sweep task to UT Beam Set, which steps the transmit aperture along the probe at one angle for linear plane wave or virtual source (VSA) acquisition. (2) Renamed UT Beam Set.Plane Wave Sweep() to Sectorial Plane Wave Sweep() and gave it Focus Type, Focus Length, First Element and Number Of Elements parameters, so it can also set up virtual source (VSA) acquisition from part of the probe. (3) UT Beam Set.Plane Wave Sweep() now works on AOS phased array instruments such as the TPAC Explorer, acquiring one A-scan per plane wave and receive element. (4) Added Update From Package task to Processor Package, which replaces a package with a new copy of another package while keeping its name, input data, equations and, optionally, its parameter set values. (5) Added support for an optional Angle Increment parameter to the Sectorial Plane Wave Sweep task, allowing users to specify the spacing between firing angles. The code now keeps Angle Increment and Number Of Angles in sync: editing one updates the other. The Angle Increment is validated and recalculated as needed, and is included in task parameter handling, validation, and configuration. A helper function was introduced to compute the increment based on start/end angles and number of angles. (6) Diagnostics Log has new Filter By Operation properties (Load, Compile, Trial Compile, Execute, Probe, User Task, Test and No Operation) that choose which operations' messages it keeps, so one log can show an Execution Script's compile errors and another its execution errors. (7) TRACE and Trace All Actions in an Execution Script now also log each trace as a User message at Medium Priority from the script, so a Diagnostics Log can collect a script's traces. (8) The Edge Browser, the help viewer and the Beam Tool Control no longer keep files in the Windows temp folder: browser data now goes in the Temp folder of the InspectionWare installation, and the Beam Tool Control's log, BeamToolHost.log, goes in the Logs folder and is limited in size. (9) The InspectionWare installer now deletes the files it unpacks into the Windows temp folder when it closes, keeping only its install log. (10) Added an Ascan Filter to Total Focuser and Generic Total Focuser, which filters the A-scans with a zero-phase Butterworth high pass, low pass or band pass before focusing, without a separate Butterworth Filter node or a filtered copy of the capture. (11) Conditional Execute now hides Number of Cases and the Case Values while State Machine is on, since states are matched by their Usage rather than by case. (12) Fixed bug where Weld Profile with Slopes does not transfer to Simulation correctly. (13) Weld Profile Builder regions can now be assymetrical. (14) Added Dual Conventional Wedge to Wedge Builder. Bug Fixes: (1) Fixed full matrix capture storing A-scans under the wrong transmit element when the UT Beam Set had a Firing Order. (2) Fixed AOS A Scans with Pulsing Mode set to Burst repeating the firing sequence faster than the Burst Rate. (3) Fixed AOS Waveform Channel.Execution Time and AOS Waveform Channel.Requested Data Rate ignoring the channel's own Pulse Repetition Rate. (4) Fixed AOS full matrix capture failing to download with a "Beam not found" error when Hardware FMC was off and Probe Configuration.Index For First Element was 1. (5) Fixed AOS full matrix capture with Hardware FMC off pulsing and receiving on the wrong elements when the probe's element numbers differ from its channel numbers, such as with Probe Configuration.Index For First Element set to 1. (6) Fixed AOS full matrix capture with Hardware FMC off storing A-scans under the wrong transmit element when the UT Beam Set had a Firing Order. (7) Fixed AOS gate results being stored under the wrong beam when the UT Beam Set had a Firing Order. (8) Fixed Annotation Set.Select Annotation() and Annotation.Select() silently doing nothing for annotations in an Annotation Set, such as the boxes an Indications Data Annotations draws. (9) Fixed Annotation.Clear Axis Units And Types() not clearing the Y Axis Type. (10) Fixed Sequence.Exit() not stopping a paused sequence until it was resumed. (11) Fixed Tecnatom Sonia A Scans clearing its Timeout warning the moment a software trigger timed out, so the warning never showed and the next trigger fired at once instead of after the 3 second retry wait. (12) Fixed UT Beam Set.Plane Wave Sweep() and UT Beam Set.Azimuthal Sweep() with a single angle producing no focal laws, which also stopped an AOS channel from downloading the beam set. (13) Fixed a digitizer that had retried 5000 times in total, over any number of separate time outs, giving up on every later time out instead of retrying every 3 seconds. (14) Fixed a gain change on an AOS channel applying each beam's Trim Gain to a different beam when its UT Beam Set had a Firing Order. (15) Fixed a paused Sequence keeping a CPU core busy and holding back delayed actions, such as an asynchronous Execute Task with a Delay, until it was resumed. (16) Fixed an AOS Waveform Channel with Number of Averages above 1 and an Averages Rate below PRF making Burst pulsing run slower than the Burst Rate. (17) Fixed dropping one data output onto an Annotation Set already connected to a different output of the same node, which connected the Annotation Set to every output of that node instead of adding the dropped output. (18) Fixed a Sequence paused by a Conditional Pause with Prompt off keeping a CPU core busy until it was resumed. (19) Fixed a copy of a Processor Package, or of any node holding an Internal Folder or Aggregate Data whose name cannot be edited, renaming them to Internal Folder and Aggregate Data, which broke equations in the copy that refer to them by name. (20) Fixed OpenView A Scans full matrix capture scrambling and dropping A-scans when the UT Beam Set had a Firing Order. (21) Fixed Simulated A Scans applying each beam's Trim Gain and TVG to the wrong A-scans in a full matrix capture. (22) Fixed TD Focus A Scans acquiring the wrong A-scans for a plane wave sweep with Matrix Capture on units without parallel FMC hardware. (23) Fixed Diagnostics Log.Message n returning True or False instead of the text of the message. (24) Fixed SET_SOURCE in an Execution Script not changing the property a control is bound to when its source stays the same. (25) Fixed SET_SOURCE in an Execution Script not disconnecting a control, such as a Data Plot or an Edit, when given an OBJECT that holds no object. (26) Fixed Total Focuser and Generic Total Focuser compiling successfully when their GPU compile failed, which left every execute failing with no error shown. (27) Fixed Total Focuser.Optimize Ascan Lengths() working out A-scan windows from the whole travel time map instead of the output dimensions, which made them far longer than needed and could start them before the wedge delay, and failing on a focuser's first compile after a workspace load. (28) Fixed an Edge Browser staying blank when another Edge Browser with a different Edge Browser.Additional Browser Arguments was already open. (29) Fixed Total Focuser travel time maps and images that could be corrupted when GPU processing ran on two threads at once, such as acquisition processing during a scan. (30) Fixed Total Focuser.Compile() and Total Focuser.Compile And Execute() turning Total Focuser.Prepare Maps If Needed on, which was then saved with the workspace; they now rebuild the travel time maps once and leave the property as it was. (31) Fixed starting a second copy of the InspectionWare installer deleting the files of the one already running, which could make that installation fail. (32) Fixed Total Focuser.Required Ascan Start and Total Focuser.Required Ascan End, and so the A-scan window Total Focuser.Optimize Ascan Lengths() sets, sometimes coming from the previous compile's travel time maps, or staying unset on the first compile after a workspace load. (33) Fixed a disabled output of a Total Focuser or Generic Total Focuser still widening its Required Ascan Start and Required Ascan End and the samples a linked FMC ROI Trim keeps. (34) Fixed Data Plot.Source Output reporting an out-of-date output after a script changed or removed the plot's traces. (35) Fixed a Data Plot or other data control with both a property source and data sources returning the wrong source for an index, and Remove All Sources() leaving some of them connected. (36) Fixed InspectionWare crashing at startup when the NVIDIA driver fails while GPU checks for CUDA. With GPU.Backend set to Automatic, it now falls back to DirectX. (37) Fixed InspectionWare no longer delivering posted messages after the Test Messaging test ran, which could crash it when a workspace was then loaded. (38) AOS/TPAC Device: fixed crash when using PA channels for conventional with Pulsing Channel or Receiving Channel out of range OverviewThis document contains a downloadable Windows installer for InspectionWare as well as the release notes covering the current version.
