New Features:

(1) Added Compare To Older Version task to Managers View and Edit Structure, which asks which archived version to compare against.

(2) Edit Structure now offers the version comparison tasks, comparing a screen with the archived version of it.

(3) Persistent Test Results History kept on server for test runs invoked in Platform Testing by Run All Tests.

(4) Added Stash Current Workspace task to Workspaces Tools, which loads the workspace as it stands in memory into the Version Stash.

(5) Compare Branches now has Annotation Colors, which set the colours Annotate Trees paints its tree items with.

(6) Added Calibrate Sensitivity task to Generic Total Focuser, which can now measure and apply a sensitivity correction the same way Total Focuser does.

Bug Fixes:

(1) An extended property now shows as a row on its object's tree item only when its Exposed attribute is true; a property with Exposed set to false, or one just added, stays hidden until Exposed is turned on.

(2) A Data Fusion 2D reference that is turned off no longer sets the fused output's axes or value range.

(3) Multiple Source Data Fusion no longer loses its Fuse settings when a workspace is reloaded.

(4) Fixed a Data Viewer opening blank when its saved layout had a pane maximized.

(5) Fixed a maximized pane inside a split view that could not be restored to its normal size.

(6) Fixed Total Focuser.Sensitivity Correction applying one uniform gain to the whole image instead of the measured gain at each depth.

Overview

This document contains a downloadable Windows installer for InspectionWare as well as the release notes covering the current version.

Software requirements

• Operating system: Windows 10 or 11. The latest Windows updates must be installed.

• InspectionWare 12 ships as a 64-bit application. 32-bit builds are produced only occasionally.

• .NET Framework 4.8 or later is required. If it is not already installed, click here to download and install it.

• Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable (2015–2022, v14x) is required by the optional neural network tools. Download: x64 Redistributable · x86 Redistributable.

Hardware requirements

• CPU: A processor supporting the AVX2 instruction set is required. This includes 2013-or-later Intel processors and 2015-or-later AMD processors. (List of supported CPUs.) InspectionWare will not install or run on a CPU without AVX2.

• GPU (optional, for accelerated processing): InspectionWare provides two GPU acceleration backends:

• DirectX — any GPU supporting DirectX 11 (feature level 11_0) or later, from AMD, Intel, or NVIDIA. A CPU-based software fallback (WARP) is also available when no compatible GPU is present.
• CUDA — an NVIDIA GPU with architecture ≥ Turing (e.g. RTX 2060, Quadro RTX, T4) and NVIDIA driver ≥ 576.02. NVIDIA GPUs older than Turing (e.g. Pascal / GTX 10-series) are not supported by the CUDA backend.
