InspectionWare Release Build: Version 12.503.0 (64 bit)

Latest Release Notes

New Features:

(1) Made Label Indications IDs sequential.

(2) Added Apply Optimized Sweep task to Total Focuser, which applies the sweep the search found without running the search again.

(3) Added FMC To PWI.Auto Gain, which scales the synthesized data to the amplitude an equivalent hardware firing or an FMC reconstruction would give, together with a Calibrate Reference Gain task that measures the latter.

(4) Added Optimize Plane Wave Sweep task to Total Focuser, which searches for the narrowest angle range and fewest angles whose reconstruction still images an indication as well as a reference.

(5) Added Total Focuser.Measure Indication() task and Indication Info property.

(6) Optimize Plane Wave Sweep now optimizes on the indications you mark instead of the strongest echo in the image: set Use Annotations to Box or Ellipse to gate the annotations drawn over them, and set Output Index to -1 to hold one sweep to every view at once.

(7) Added Notepad View: A standalone scratchpad for text editing, opening, and saving files, with syntax highlighting, saved with the workspace.

(8) Added Choices to Object Tasks.PromptForProperties(), which turns prompted properties into lists to pick from instead of boxes to type in.

(9) Added Tab Orientation to Configure As Ribbon, which turns each tab button to read across the strip with its panel dropping below it, the way a collapsing menu reads. Panels also now open away from the edge a Control Bar is docked to, so a bar along the bottom opens them upwards.

(10) Configure As Ribbon is now run from the Setup menu, which asks for the tab names and sizes first, and on a Control Bar builds the tab buttons directly on the bar and sizes the bar to fit them.

(11) Added ability to loop through and execute on Data Table Rows using Execute Object Script.

(12) Added support for property drag-and-drop into Notepad View.

(13) Allow row re-ordering on Variables using Ctrl+Up and Ctrl+Down, or by right-clicking a row label for Move Row Up/Down tasks.

Bug Fixes:

(1) Fixed FMC ROI Trim not recognizing a Total Focuser dropped onto its Trim Focuser connection, so the node failed to compile with "No Total Focuser is linked" even though the connection showed in the tree.

(2) Fixed a spurious error being logged when a folder that is being watched for file changes is deleted and created again.

(3) Fixed Child Display Button.Size To Page leaving the display at its own button, so the tabs of a ribbon each dropped their panel in a different place and ran off the edge of the interface.

(4) Fixed a failed task being named twice in the error a script reports.

(5) Fixed the controls along the top and left edges of a User Interface being cut off when it is shown with Show Frame turned off, as a ribbon panel is.

(6) Fixed a Crop annotation on a Total Focuser masking the mirror image of the annotated region when Total Focuser.Mirror Axis 1 or Mirror Axis 2 is turned on.

(7) Fixed the Total Focuser's Output Properties.Axis 1 Start and Axis 1 End limiting the reconstruction to the mirror image of the requested region when Total Focuser.Mirror Axis 1 or Mirror Axis 2 is turned on.

(8) Fixed an InspectionWare context menu appearing over a User Defined Ctrl's own context menu when right-clicking the control it hosts.

Overview

This document contains a downloadable Windows installer for InspectionWare as well as the release notes covering the current version.

Software requirements

  • Operating system: Windows 10 or 11. The latest Windows updates must be installed.
  • InspectionWare 12 ships as a 64-bit application. 32-bit builds are produced only occasionally.
  • .NET Framework 4.8 or later is required. If it is not already installed, click here to download and install it.

Hardware requirements
  • CPU: A processor supporting the AVX2 instruction set is required. This includes 2013-or-later Intel processors and 2015-or-later AMD processors. (List of supported CPUs.) InspectionWare will not install or run on a CPU without AVX2.
  • GPU (optional, for accelerated processing): InspectionWare provides two GPU acceleration backends:
    • DirectX — any GPU supporting DirectX 11 (feature level 11_0) or later, from AMD, Intel, or NVIDIA. A CPU-based software fallback (WARP) is also available when no compatible GPU is present.
    • CUDA — an NVIDIA GPU with architecture ≥ Turing (e.g. RTX 2060, Quadro RTX, T4) and NVIDIA driver ≥ 576.02. NVIDIA GPUs older than Turing (e.g. Pascal / GTX 10-series) are not supported by the CUDA backend.
