InspectionWare Release Build: Version 12.492.0 (64 bit)

Latest Release Notes

Build Note:

Restore zlib1.dll install

New Features:

(1) Added Beam Set Rays Transform and Rotation Center properties to Ray Data From Beam Set.

(2) Added FMC Health Check: a processor that verifies an FMC capture with a pair-level matrix image, dead/weak element detection from the pulse-echo diagonal, and reciprocity error statistics.

(3) Added the Calibrate Sensitivity task to the Total Focuser, measuring a TCG correction from a calibration block and applying it in the reconstruction weights.

(4) Added the Check Grid Adequacy task to the Total Focuser, reporting the reconstruction settings against the ISO 23865 amplitude-fidelity guidance.

(5) Exported travel time maps now record whether they are beam-indexed, so Plane Wave and other beam maps re-import as beam maps.

(6) Map Interpolation now defaults to Bilinear on all Total Focusers; Linear remains selectable to reproduce earlier releases.

(7) Added support for F13-F24 keys

(8) Added Fill Mode gap filling to Remap Ascans With Rays 3D.

(9) Added Source Points subsets to Remap Ascans With Rays 3D and Slice Remapped Ascans.

(10) Added Show Task, Show Property, Show Data and Show Table tasks to Grouped Controls.

(11) Dropping a Simulation or Data Node onto a Grouped Controls, or onto a Page stacked horizontally or vertically, now adds a Simulator Display or Data Plot.

(12) Added MCP Provide Performance Analyzer, which runs a node, task, button press or property change under timed logging and returns the execution log over MCP.

(13) Async client receive pump, safe read, doc update

(14) Added FMC ROI Trim, a lossless FMC compression processor.

(15) Simulated FMC From Map Echoes is now usable directly: the Add task connects the table to the matrix capture channel, dropped maps bind Source 1/2, new Map Frame and Map Row properties accept exported travel time maps directly, reflectors are gated on the index axis, and a disabled table generates no echoes.

(16) SAFT2 processor: added multiple outputs with per-output Tx/Rx modes and skips, an explicit depth range, and enabled GPU processing.

Bug Fixes:

(1) Fixed Reflect Ray Data collapsing rays that start on a curved wall.

(2) Fixed empty remapped views when the rays lie in a single coordinate plane.

(3) Fixed User Interface windows staying permanently disabled after appearing behind a modal dialog.

(4) Fixed edit controls corrupting displayed numbers when removing trailing zeroes from scientific notation or zero-decimal-place values.

(5) Fixed numeric text being silently misread on systems using a comma decimal separator, including equations with multi-argument functions such as max(A,B).

(6) Fixed pitch-catch PA Rays failing to focus on the point source in the phased-array simulator.

(7) Fixed Extract From FMC always failing to compile on FMC data.

(8) Fixed FMC To PWI mis-aligning virtual-source (VSA) beams that have negative element delays by one sample.

(9) Fixed Sparse FMC reporting a successful compile when a source axis or data element was missing.

(10) Fixed multi-output Sparse FMC, FMC Recovery and FMC To PWI nodes resolving every output to a single probe configuration, and the adopted probe being lost after a post-compile axis recalculation.

(11) Fixed the Total Focuser's Calibrate Velocity and Calibrate Wall Thickness tasks scoring a coherence-weighted image when an Envelope Weighting was configured.

(12) Fixed the geometry echo mask masking the wrong depths when Mirror Axis 2 is enabled.

(13) Fixed MSI error 2715 during product installer install/upgrade.

(14) Simulated UT Device settings were not re-downloaded when its timeslot was compiled while inactive, so probe-configuration changes such as velocities did not affect the simulated data until workspace reload.

(15) Fixed Rx focal-law part velocity ignoring the beam set's catch probe configuration.

(16) Fix signalr delay-load crash

Overview

This document contains a downloadable Windows installer for InspectionWare as well as the release notes covering the current version.

Software requirements

  • Operating system: Windows 10 or 11. The latest Windows updates must be installed.
  • InspectionWare 12 ships as a 64-bit application. 32-bit builds are produced only occasionally.
  • .NET Framework 4.8 or later is required. If it is not already installed, click here to download and install it.

Hardware requirements
  • CPU: A processor supporting the AVX2 instruction set is required. This includes 2013-or-later Intel processors and 2015-or-later AMD processors. (List of supported CPUs.) InspectionWare will not install or run on a CPU without AVX2.
  • GPU (optional, for accelerated processing): InspectionWare provides two GPU acceleration backends:
    • DirectX — any GPU supporting DirectX 11 (feature level 11_0) or later, from AMD, Intel, or NVIDIA. A CPU-based software fallback (WARP) is also available when no compatible GPU is present.
    • CUDA — an NVIDIA GPU with architecture ≥ Turing (e.g. RTX 2060, Quadro RTX, T4) and NVIDIA driver ≥ 576.02. NVIDIA GPUs older than Turing (e.g. Pascal / GTX 10-series) are not supported by the CUDA backend.
