The AL81004C is a 4-channel digitizer, acquiring RF signals at 8 bits of resolution and 100 MHz sampling frequency. This provides a dynamic range of about 40 dB, usable for signals up to about 20 MHz center frequency.

The AL81004C is often used to upgrade older scanners that have multi-channel flaw detectors, enabling them to capture and record C-Scan images, or the whole RF waveform, if desired. The digitizer also has on-board Time-Variable Gain (TVG) for performing Distance-Amplitude-Correction (DAC) while scanning thick materials.

All 4 channels may be sampled simultaneously, either triggered by the instrument, or on-board encoder input to enable high speed scanning.

Multiple cards may be simultaneously triggered and digitized, for systems with higher channel counts.

Applications Include:

• Gas cylinder inspection systems.
