Waveform Digitizers can record A-scans from pulser receivers and flaw detectors that provide an RF output. The A-scans can then be displayed, gated and processed as needed by the acquisition software to produce B-scan or C-scan images.
Point Digitizers can record gated values from flaw detectors that provide one or more analog outputs. The point values can then be displayed and processed as needed by the acquisition software to produce C-scan images.. | | Trigger on Position digitizers allow very high speed scanning because they can trigger automatically based on the position of a scanner. These digitizers have additional inputs that receive encoder signals from a motion stage.
